Kinja'd!!!

Today i celebrate 3 years of keeping my children alive my girls 3rd birthday. Holy crap. My wife went into labor during a regular checkup at 32 weeks. O shit myself. At 0 hour the doctors were able to stop it. Others it was super premature babies. At 36 weeks I left work earlyto visit my wife who was stuck in the hospital until birth. I was spotted at the desk and told she was being prepped for delivery. Holy shit again. The girls affluent a couple days in incubators with breathing tubes. 2 weeks later we brought them home and they have been causing mayhem ever since.

Twin girls? Which one is good and which one is evil? Or are they both evil?

But seriously, happy birthday and all that jazz.

You’re screwed.

Congratulations, and happy birthday to the Opposaurus twins!

Everything changes. At some point you’ll have something u want and you’ll think I should give this to my kids. It could be something a simple as a Chinese fortune cookie and it hits you. Also buy stock in your local liquor store. .

I remember that!

I’ve got two girls as well, 2-1/2 years and 1 month old. We haven’t had any major incidents like that, but man do they ever try to kill themselves! It’s a good thing they’re so flexible.

13-16 in girls in usually challenging. It’s not x2 for Pat, it’s x4 - they resonate.

I know two other couples with twins girls. One is past 12 yrs, the other is past 7. The parents look ragged, but the results, oh the results, are so amazing. Hang in there.

(Make sure you have your man cave established and provisioned by the time they’re 13. Just saying.)

Look for something on the edges that gives you room to run, too. In my opinion, kids weren’t meant to be raised indoors (counter to mainstream culture.)

they love being outside (but also love their tablets) I built them a swingset and some random stuff from what ever is hanging around at the time. i put a 4’x4’ square of plywood on a 4x4 post that was laying down and they walked over it all day long.

(Just an idea.) Look at the Cornell apps for birds and their sounds, or the naked eye astronomy apps for ID’ing satellites, the space station, stars, planets, etc. Those tablets can also be used outdoors.

I have the app for spotting the ISS and a sky map. They love seeing the moon. They like watching things about colors and letters and stuff liek that so at least its not 24/7 sponge bob. I definitely dont want them to be one of the kids that doesn;t know what the world beyond a screen looks like. They love trails in the woods. one runs and the other stops every 10’ to look a a leaf or something.
